hey people..i'm a newbie i have files to go through and i 'noisegate'-d all of them so it takes out all of the noise, but my problem is that these files are long and i need to reduce all the gaps that have nothing in them to one second (a lot of them are 2 or more.) i was wondering if there is some automated function in sound forge 4.5 xp that can do this for me or can i write a function myself? this is getting quite repetitive and i have a long way to go. thanks. |

I believe there's an automatic region feature...I haven't used this function much, but it will automatically make regions around the audio and not select the silence parts. Then you can open up the playlist and assemble all these auto regions and you can set a default spacing between regions...1 second in your case. |

thanks rednroll, but i'm looking for it and....lo siento but i haven't found anything. i'm trying to create new regions because i think that's what you might be hinting at and then i'm trying to edit it...blah blah...sorry but could you be more precise. thanks, patrick. |
