Hello, all. Can someone please tell me if I can jump from version "b" to "e" during a re-install of Sound Forge 5.0b (or *any* program, for that matter), or do I have to include each update in a row until I get to the latest? Something's amiss with my latest attempt, and I wonder if it's because I cut some corners. Thanks. - pup |

Skip right to the latest update. The latest includes all the previous fixes/additions. Be more specific when you mention amiss. What's the problem? Keep in mind that some users have had problems because they installed the latest update over the previous version. Maybe you should uninstall your actual version and do a clean install of the latest update. Later. |

MyST is correct, it is recommended that you install only the latest version. Don't install an update over a previous version, and don't worry about doing any of the "in-between" updates, just go right to the newest. You won't see any major problems if you install an update over an older version, but you might see some weird stuff. Ted |

Thanks, you two...but I’m still a tad confused. You’re telling me -- if I’m using SF5.0e (for example), and then there’s suddenly a SF 5.0g update, -- then I should un-install “e” before installing “g?” History: - I started with Sound Forge XP 4.5. - I upgraded to Sound Forge 5.0 Sooooooo…… when my computer dies and I need to do a re-install I: 1)Install XP 2)Install Sound Forge 5.0 upgrade (a?) 3)Install THE LATEST update (e?) …and Bob’s my uncle. Correct? (Sorry. This is kinda new to me.) - pup |

1) Install latest Sound Forge 5.0, skip all previous 2) Oops, there is no 2. |
