Hi SCS. Just installed Windows 8 tonight - my transition seemed smooth... however when I went to the get media function to try and download the latest content for Pro Users - it told me I had no address info registered and it wants me to register the software. Obviously I am not going to do that as the software shows the licence key when it pops up and seems to be there functionally. I will have to get into it a bit more - as I have some songs that I need to dump out of Acid Pro and into my new DAW. Just seeing if anyone else has experienced this problem. If you decide that you can't stand the new UI, there is always www.classicshell.net . You can even upgrade to Classic Windows Start Menu. geoff Message last edited on1/10/2013 3:43:57 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

I downloaded the start menu by Pokki. Liked the look of the menu layout better than classic shell. While in desktop mode... I still get the same problem with the registration for the get media Icon....tries to make me registered even though acids start up screen says im registered. |

Whilst I can appreciate the issue - AP7 is clearly not supported under Windows 8 and it's not surprising that oddball stuff is gonna show up. For what it's worth - Get Media works perfectly on my install with Windows 7 64bit Pro. But I get I have to ask : 1. Why would you bother with Win 8? 2. Then look to SCS for support on a clearly unsupported app? VP Message last edited on1/11/2013 8:07:19 AM byVocalpoint. |
