I'm a beginner at editing but am frustrated. Somehow when I am several minutes into editing to program it takes me back to the beginning of the recording. It happens several times in an hour. What do I need to change? |

What kind of files are you editing? What exactly are you doing or what have you just done when this jump occurs? Rob. |

You haven't inadvertently set a loop region to play ? geoff |

I will have just recorded an audio file and saved it. Then, when I'm editing out the mistakes (like too long of a pause) I click on the area to be edited out and my screen turns blue and sends me back to the begining of the recording. |

No, I don't think I set a loop because it takes me back to the beginning every time, not just to the first of a loop. |

This is very odd behavior indeed. Again, I'll ask, what kind of audio files exactly are you recording and editing? I'm assuming you're recording and saving to .wav? When you say your screen turns blue, do you mean the whole screen or just Sound Forge? I just want to clarify how you're selecting the region to be deleted. You highlight it and then click delete, right? Rob. |
