I know we're all wondering about AP8 and let's hope that does eventuate but in the meantime does Acid and the iPad seem like a good fit? I could see myself working up some basic tracks on the iPad then transferring them into a DAW for more work. Sure Acid hasn't so far ventured over to the Land of Jobs but with SF making the move recently it might not be impossible. |

I remember one year for Christmas Sonic Foundry made a web-based version of Acid Express that ran in a browser window. It was somewhat limited, but it did have a lot of the basic features functional. Something like that should run on any tablet pretty easily. I wonder if it's still online and if i can find the URL somewhere. |

Believe me when i say we are all hoping for something Acid Pro wise and hopefully at Namm. In February it will have been 3 full years without an update of any kind for Acid Pro. So is it time to shine for AP8...or will it be more disappointment? A few weeks and we will know more. |

I could see something like that happening. There are a handful of DAW-like tools and apps out there already for both iOS and Android platforms. Still...it's not like you could get ideas down otherwise (whether it be in other apps like Skitch with Evernote or just a portable digital audio recorder like the ones from Zoom, Sony, Olympus, et al.). |

Only for masochists ! OK for a rough sketchpad maybe, but not for anythjing that requires any degree of easy precision. Prefer Android over "i-anything". geoff |

> "...does Acid and the iPad seem like a good fit?" Yea, take a look at IK Multimedia's GrooveMaker for iPad. Similar "loop-based" concept, very well executed. ~jr Message last edited on1/11/2013 1:23:08 PM byJohnnyRoy. |
