I had to reload windows 7 - 64x and had to also reload Sound Forge Pro 10 again. Everytime I start SF Pro 10 I get a UAC prompt and then a Sony Splash Screen indicating registration required? I push the next button on the splash screen and SF Pro 10 starts up. The program is working but it is a bit anoying top have to go thru two check screens everytime I start the program. I have changed the program to run as administrator in both the short cut and actual exe program and all combination thereof. All this does is change the UAC prompt from first to last???? Any thoughts on how to fix the UAC & registration prompts? |

Thanks musicvid - tried your strategy - no change. I'm not prepared to disable the UAC option in Windows 7 at this time. I will live with two annoying check screens - otherwise SF10 works fine. Just thought there might be a simple solution I over looked. Thanks for your input. |

This may not be the problem in your case, but I had a similar issue with a non-A/V application where the security permissions were some how changed on a Vista PC, Setting the app.s 'System' and 'Administrator' privileges to 'Allow' disabled the annoying UAC message. Access 'Securities' tab via 'Properties' in the Sound Forge *.exe application file. ( Program Files> Sony> Sound Forge) Full control, Modify, Read Execute, Read, Write should be set to 'Allow' for the 'System' and 'Administrator' |
