If you're trying to import MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 video, you'll have to purchase the upcoming MPEG Plug-In (should be around middle of Decemember?). Other formats that are supported for video in ACID (without purchasing anything) include Quicktime (MOV) and AVI. Iacobus |

oddly enough i've tryed to import a .mov and i couldent open it......when i went file-open and navigated to where the .mov files were located the files werent availible....my system only gave me the options to open audio files only.......any ideas? |

You will need to download and install the QuickTime codec from Apple. There is a free version, and that will give you everything you need to allow Sonic Foundry applications to open .mov video files. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ |

i thank you guys for your help but i'm still having problems,when you say QuickTime codec i assume you mean the regular free quicktime player,i have downloaded it and it runs fine but still i can't open my .mov files...is there something else i should try? ....also when i go file-open the types of files listed are acid projects(.acd),.wav and .aif only,no video files. |

Now that's weird. They should be available—Video for Windows (AVI), MOV...even JPEG, Photoshop (PSD), and Targa (TGA) files should be available. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling ACID yet? (Be sure to delete any folder residue after uninstalling ACID and keep your serial number handy.) Be sure to get the latest version as well. (3.0c) Iacobus |

This is a stupid question .... but when you go to File Open, do you click on "Files of Type" and scroll down to choose the file types you're looking for? The default is "All Project and Media Files", which only displays Acid project and sound files for the most part. Scroll down and choose .avi or even "All Files (*.*)" instead. |
