Subject:Best quality format?

Hi again,

I was also wondering, when I create a sound track that I intend to add to a video in another Acid project, what format should I render the sound track in to preserve the best quality.

I think all you nice people for helping me along with this!

Definately go for .wav if you have the drive space. It's uncompressed,
so there will be no loss of quality. Choose a sample rate and bit depth
that matches your source files. If all your loops were 16/44.1K then
you can render to 16/44.1K (about 10MB/minute). If all your loops were
24/96K, then stick with that, but it takes about (about 35MB/minute).

If you simply don't have the drive space (but you should, if you're
working with video too) then go for PCA (Perfect Clarity Audio). A bit
rate of 320Kbps is so close to the original .wav file that you probably
can't tell the difference, and it only takes about 2.5MB/minute.

Dear 'Chienworks',

Thanks for your response!! Wav files were in fact what I was using but I wasn't sure how they rated with other formats.
