so delighted to find out SF is available for mac now, but very bummed it isn't offered on 10.6.8. alot of mac users are staying on 10.6.8 because we have older systems that still work great. any future updates expected to involve 10.6.8 users?

Nothing for Snow Leopard users. I asked this question some time back (amongst others) and was told by a Sony person here that they used some features only available in Lion and Mountain Lion that didn't exist in SL. Really ticked me off as the Mac I wanted to use for audio was a Snow Leopard machine. I have since gotten an iMac with Mountain Lion on it. I am refraining from going with SF Mac for other reasons though and that is the many features that are in SF Windoze (which I have been using since back to SF6) that are missing in SF Mac are things I really need in an audio editor. Tabs to view multiple waveforms? Not good if you're used to SF Win and having multiple windows opened with waveforms in each. No CD burning. And so on.

In other words - consider yourself lucky you're spared the current disaster that is SF Mac. If you are or were a previous user of SF Win you'd be highly disappointed in the current offering. Getting a bit tired of the standard Sony line: "this will be fixed/added/taken care of in an update".
