Help with triggering Drum Machine with MIDI Output -ACID Product Family

Subject:Help with triggering Drum Machine with MIDI Output Posted by: Detech Date:11/22/2012 5:52:55 PM Hello everyone and many thanks in advance for any help :) Basically i have recently acquired a Vermona drum machine with MIDI input for triggering the drums sounds. I take the MIDI out of my sound card (RME HDSPe AIO) and connect it to my Vermona input. I draw the corresponding midi notes on the midi editor in ACID to trigger the drums but i don't seem to be getting any response unforunately... I know this should have been a fairly simple proceess so i am wondering if anybody would have any ideas on how to get this to work\what might i be missing? The routing on the MIDI output is correct (Device 2 - AIO Midi) Cheers & many thanks for the help! Al

Did you make sure the MIDI track in question was transmitting on the correct channel? (Try all of them individually.) Also make sure you're using the correct note values to trigger. (If everything is routed properly, you should be able to hear percussion as you go up and down the GUI keyboard while ACID (Pro?) is in inline MIDI editing mode.)
