MXF files not opening

I have footage from another vendor. The drive they gave me has separated video & audio (though it was shot on one camera). The video & audio files will play in the VLC media player, but won't play in Vegas (10). Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Thanks.

EDIT: These were taken off of P2 cards. Apparently Final Cut reads/marries the video/audio automatically. Does anyone know if there is software out there that will do this?

Sony Vegas 10 requires the Raylight plug in from DV Filmmaker in order read.

Apparently FC & Premiere handle P2 MXF files without a problem. I wonder if Panasonic lets Vegas Pro users know that they can't edit the media without a $150 plugin...

Does Vegas 11 or 12 handle it? Maybe it's just being on an older version.

Good news, Vegas 12 opens and edits MXF video files. I use a panasonic AJ-PCD2 card reader to read my P2 cards and it works fine. Just use the Device Explorer to do this. CTRL + ALT + 7 will bring it up or just go to the view menu and find Device Explorer there.
