Never got it. I checked my Spam filter folder and nothing. Then I checked the Sony My Account / My Software info page and there was a DVDA 6.0 s/n listed. Entered it and it unlocked the program.

yes, about an hour ago i started v11 and got a splash screen about the free upgrade. Done.
Not that i use it anyway, but for free, well why not.

Got my serial number as soon as hit "submit."

Maybe 6.0 has some additional but hidden tweaks under the hood. Since I seldom need tuts anymore with DVDA and I don't use stereoscopic 3D, I don't see what else 6.0 offers, based upon my opening an ongoing project that I started in 5.2.

Thank you SCS! Much appreciated.

That's the results of two years of development. Hard work.

Only DVD authoring program I have ever used and it does all I need, though the demand for authored DVDs is on the decline, some clients insist on the discs. Also If you want to project in a theatre I'd suggest burning to Blu-Ray as a cost effective HD alternative to DCP. External HDDs and memory sticks aren't an option for projecting i a theatre environment.
So kudos to Sony.
Free's good.

Bug fixes? the print was so very small, I could not read it. Does anyone have the ability to enlarge the details?

Wheww, that is good to hear, I was actually worried for a minute. Thanks for the upto date reference page.

Anyone heard about a cross/upgrade to the VP Suite?

New feature is just can do stereoscopic 3D video to Blu-ray Disc only ....?

I was hoping at least can do a simple Blu-ray style pop-up menu!

Why would there be bug fixes? This is a .0 initial release of a new version.
videoITguy wrote on 11/19/2012, 9:02 PM
We are discussing the bugs that were created in DVDArchPro Version 4, and remained without fail through the 4.0 series, 5.0 series, and not fixed in 6.0....please...!

Man, complain there's no new DVDA 6 with Vegas 12. Then complain it comes with the Suite. Then complain it doesn't list any fixes when they give everyone from Vegas 10 on a free upgrade.
Complain when SCS doesn't do a Suite like Adobe. Complain when the suite includes stuff you don't want. Complain when the suite doesn't give you a dozen different upgrade paths because you don't want to pay for it.

Is everyone here suddenly twelve or something?

Are you just having a bad day or is this your weekly flamefest? At least you're not taking it out on the cat.

my gripe - the templates (not that i've ever used one) look absolutely awful. seems arch. can't decide whether it's a hobbyists play thing, corporate be all, but it certainly isn't pretending to be a professional tool.
