VegasPro12 has been in retail sales for about 1 month - There has not been any announcement of a companion Blu-ray DVDArchitectPro Version 6 that has anything that Version 5.2 does not already have.
If you look at the promotional materials that accompany VPro12 you will note all text indicates Version 5.2.
Despite what you want to believe, the development of DVD Architect Pro 6 has been capped. The release today confirms that - there is really no broad announcement of enhancements. AND there is certainly NOT any hint of under the hood tweaking to correct bugs in the basic engine.
Download if you like, but it's really DVD Architect Pro 5.0b in new paint.
I've long-used SVP and DVD Architect. Over the years I couldn't escape using more Adobe products: Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, all of which integrate wonderfully. I doubt I'll ever leave SVP because I know it and love it.
Yet even before the release of DVDA 6.0, I started to peruse tutorials on Encore, which I think I'll learn on the side for a non-paying project. I'm not sure if the grass is greener over there, but it sure isn't for want of watering heavily over here...

Overall DVD Architect Pro is a well designed advanced authoring tool except for one design choice under the hood that contributes problems in cascading fashion as Nick elaborates on in his summary post.
For a professional product of this caliber - it should not have been designed around creating an auto VTS (Video Title Set) disc parameter. In doing so this product is seriously hampered with further issues. Give the professional author the ability to create his own VTS and subtools - like more identified script values - and this product would leap upto compete with $3,000 authoring systems.
