I realize there are LOTS of variables here, but I am wondering if anybody is seeing a similar issue with Veg 11.0 crashing when GPU acceleration turned on and the MainConcept MPEG2 encoder. Here are my specs:
Vegas 11.0 (either 32bit build 700 or 64bit build 701)
- CPU: Tried on both a Dell i8 and HP AMD-4core processor
- GPU: Both a Radeon 5700 and Radeon 6700 with all the above combinations
- ATI/AMD driver: Catalyst 12.10 (which is the latest)
- Works fine when I do CPU rendering only (just MUCH slower - argh)
- GPU accelerated rendering for Sony AVC/MVC encoder to 720p and 1080p works fine
- Windows 7 64-bit
Other interesting facts:
- I purchased an NVIDIA 660 card, and it works fine for the MPEG2 render
- I tried going back to the ATI/AMD driver 12.8, and it didn't help
- The MPEG2 rendering used to work earlier this year, but unfortunately, I cannot remember the various driver / software configurations at that time.
Any comments/suggestions from the forum would be appreciated.
