I was so happy when I saw Sound Forge being released for Mac, i went ahead and bought it on reflex. Have just installed it, tried to open 3 files, and SF just went ahead and crashed every time. How sad!

Perhaps you could specify the type and format of files you tried to open...

Sure. I was just so disappointed, I closed the laptop and went out. Here goes.

MacBook Pro 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 - running 10.8.2

SF 1.0.21 (Build 3)

Did some recordings on a new Zoom Handy H4n recorder, wanted to test it. Wav-files, 44.1, 16bit. Short files, around 2 - 3 minutes.

I doubleclicked the file (one each time) in the mediabrowser inside SF, and it crashed immediately. This repeated several times.

Could you open a formal issue with tech support?

We'd like to get our hands on these files, as well as gather some additional information about the state of the app when it crashed.

I've found that it is always best (not just with SF) to copy files to a local drive (ie not opening through a USB subsystem) before opening. See if that helps.
