Today i have downloaded the new version of S.F. 1.0.21 (Build 3)....but i keep on to have problems.
It's impossible to enter on the software, i see only Sf ribbon on the top, nothing seems to bring up the workspace.
I tried shutting down and restarting. no luck.
Besides I tried to install it on my Macbook pro 13’’ with osx 10.7.5 and it let me choose if register it or activate the trial version…I activated the trial version and everything worked…but I want it to work on my IMac (2009 quad-core 2.7 8ghz Ram) which I use to work in my recording studio.
I need your help, please!!!

It sounds like you might have some config information from a previous install that's causing problems for you.

Try this:

Exit Forge completely and re-launch the app from within Finder while holding CTRL + Shift. You should see the app launch animation in slow motion. When forge has finished launching it'll display "Application Reset" in the activity view.

Thanks for your answer.
i tried but i don't see the app launch animation in slow motion.
And it dosen't display "Application Reset" in the activity view. :((

Make sure that you're launching the app from within finder. Hold control and shift down and then click the app icon.

Launching it from other locations on the system can lead to the metakey combo being eaten.

I did the metakey combo from within finder but I can't open too. I can open it just with metakey combo + right click. my osx is 10.8.2
could you explain me why this combo doesn't work in my imac, please?

Hrm. I can't think of any reason why the metakey combo would fail, even in Italian.

There is, however, always the nuclear option -

1) In Finder, hit Cmd+Shift+G and enter: ~/Library/Preferences
2) Delete all files that start with: com.sony.SonyCreativeSoftware.Sound-Forge-Pro
3) In Finder, hit Cmd+Shift+G and enter: ~/Library/Saved Application State
4) Delete all files that start with: com.sony.SonyCreativeSoftware.Sound-Forge-Pro
5) Empty the Trash
6) Restart Sound Forge
