Using Sony Music Studio(8)..I have great signal strenght, clean recording..Drum track first..Then on Track 2 I play a ryth track...After disarming to listen back, the tracks start off in synch but a few measures into it they start diverging..I had people watch me record, and asked if maybe I was going out of time, and they all agreed NOT to the degree the 2 wav files seem to be...If anyone has had this happen, let me know..I am thinking it may be somthing to do with not enough RAM..or something inside the sound card..PS..I use an Alesis USBFX 8 channel when recording..I tried getting the same thing to happen when using JUST the sound on my laptop, and it does it using that recording..Latency?..Any information is always welcome..Thanks. |

Hmm... I can't find out any specifics on what driver model the USB FX uses. (ASIO? WDM?) The site for the USB FX mentions it's class-compliant without installing drivers... Since you mentioned that the (integrated?) audio interface also produces the same problem, try looking at video drivers. (Try updating them or reinstalling.) |

Did you ever find the answer to this problem about getting out of synch? I am having the same issue and it's very frustrating - having to fight the technology to create the art. My tracks also start to get off synch half way into the composition. |

@Keltron What audio hardware are you using? What audio drivers are you setting ACID to use? Please fill out your system specs in your user profile. Peter |

I found that when I am going to do recording,I have to shut down the INTERNAL sound card completely and let the Alesis be the sound card..There might be an easier way,but I found that just shutting it off(disable) the internal sound is enough to free up the RAM,and Processor...Now to get some drum software next month so I can actually have drum sounds here at the house..I did find that even after I fixed this issue, that anything recorded with the problem,is lost..So I am going to uninstall everything this week and re-install it cleanly...I also found that I have 3 buttons on the Alesis that lets me activate or disable the send to the recording software..which is helpful. Will post a small sample later today oof the end result..Hope this helps..Keep rockin peoples...Keltron1,hope you get it solved! |
