Unbelieveable. So on the homepage is a whole new Vegas Suite that includes Sound Forge Pro and another Movie Studio version coming soon. Acid Pro seems to be left behind to wither and wrinkle. I said the next product announcement needed to be an update for Acid Pro or i was sure Sony is dumping the product... Or continuing to run AP7 until it can run no more. Even Sound Forge Pro 10 got an update this week. SCS abandonment of Acid Pro makes me sad and mad all at the same time. |

What about Sony? This is what I keep asking myself in my search for a new DAW. Other companies seem to have a more open dialogue with their customers. I see several others DAWs moving forward with updates but...What about Sony? Nothing! |

>>>What about Sony?<<<< They have 2 already. Acid and Vegas. Either one will do whatever anybody needs them to do. |

deusx - But...Vegas has seen updates and Acid Pro has not. You don't want a new version of Acid Pro? |

I just got a look at Live 9 previews tonight and I will be adding that to my arsenal along with Push. If a new version of Acid comes out, great, if not, then I will use it until it stops working or Live supersedes it. Acid runs fine for me in Windows 8 and it is an awesome tool for working with loops. Message last edited on11/5/2012 11:12:49 AM byrjshama. |
