I don't recall when I installed Sony's ACID PRO 7. I may have had Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate installed at the time. However I recall having to call customer service because certain things wouldn't install properly and they told me that it was because I was running a 64-bit OS and Acid Pro is a 32-bit software package.

Has anyone else experienced any issues with Windows Vista or 7 in 64-bit OS?

Yes. I had a problem with AP7 and windows 7 64x.
I will also note that my problem stemmed from installing windows 7 sp1.
Acid Pro has not been updated since February 2010.
SCS hasn't said anything about Acid Pro in years. They claim there software works with windows 8.
I have yet to try this.
In my windows journal it showed that sp1 and ap7 had compatibility issues.
I downgraded to windows 7 and updated my microsoft .net framework.
Its the same old song and dance unfortunately.

I have had zero issues with AP7 in Windows 7 x64. Runs great...works great. No errors, no messages and no problems.

Hi markerline,

I run Acid Pro 7 under Win 7 64-bit OS... and it runs fine. There are some very very minor things I encountered:

- When I opened the Help Menu... it gave me a message that said, "The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows. For more information, go to the Microsoft Help and Support website." Searching in the wonderful world of "google" it mentions from Microsoft's website that a program that uses an older Help component, WinHlp32.exe, to display Help content is not included in Win Vista, 7 or 8. I simply downloaded WinHlp32.exe from MS and I can now view the Acid Pro's help contents.

- I use an Auzentech X-fi Forte sound card. This card's driver can be configured in 3 modes. The mode to make use of the ASIO drivers is to put in "Audio Creation Mode". I use that mode when running Acid.
