Subject:Windows 8 Compatible...??? Apparently so...?!?

Anyone notice that Sony is claiming that Acid Pro & Sound Forge Pro 10 are working compatible with Windows 8??? It's in the product description now...
Only reason I saw this today was because someone else posted in the Sound Forge Family forum.
He also noted that he's having problems authorizing the product/SFpro 10.
I would say hold off on installing Acid Pro into Windows 8 until more testing is done.
So looks like AP7 stays alive in Windows 8 - without any indication of an update...
Crazyness!

Edit:
I have successfully installed and run Acid Pro 7e on my 32-bit Win 8 machine after speaking with customer service. My problem was actually with the number of times I'd registered the software throughout the years of various OS reinstallations.

Original message below the break:

I have three PCs. My studio desktop and notebook, and an old 32-bit desktop that is functionally a sandbox. I installed Win 8 on the sandbox PC this past Friday and have gotten Vegas working, but not Acid. I was able to launch Acid as a demo after some finagling in compatibility mode, but I haven't yet gotten it going with my serial. It just says something about an error with the server. Trial and error with compatibility modes hasn't helped.

Want to install Win 8 on my studio machines, but can't until this is resolved. Anybody else had any experiences you'd be willing to share? A few keyword searches on this forum hasn't turned up any help.

Interesting. Please let us know if you experience any technical difficulties in any area of AP7 on your windows 8 os.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone finds Acid 7 works on a Windows 8 64 bit machine. Cheers,

Kit

I had excellent results running AP7 on Win 8 x64 release preview as well as the other releases, developer etc.
Overall very fast program start and it seems that heavier vst synths like the Arturia Moog Modular or NI Absynth are loading faster.

I didnt do any compatibility mode changes.

Given than Win8 is essentially Win7 with a s.tupid UI designed for people who need to take tablets, it should work fine. As does in Win7(64).

Dot in the S-word, cos the forum censored it out into " **** " !
