Subject:Need an Acid 2.0 Serial Number

Greetings. I have been a registered user of Acid since version 1.0. I was going back through some of my old projects and exporting them to get ready for newly mixed and mastered versions. I found that some of the tweaks I made in certain earlier versions of Acid (particularly pitch lowering and some time stretching) do not work or sound right in later versions. I would like to see about getting a serial number for Acid 2.0 so I can complete this project. Please let me know if this is even possible. Thanks |

Contact SMS support. If you are in fact - a registered user of the software - should not be a problem to get a serial - although - if you are registered - what happened to your serial? All your serials (if registered) should be viewable within your forum profile here in this board....mine are. VP |

ACID 2 is probably before this website started automatically tracking registered serial numbers, so even if it's registered it probably won't show up here. I'm not sure if Sonic Foundry was even offering download purchases back then, so it's likely the only copy of the serial number is with the packaging. |

Looks like that's about right...I have my ACID 3.0 number in my profile but my ACID 2.0 is on a card that came the user manual. VP |

Yeah, the packaging has since been long gone or packed away somewhere. I did try to contact SMS support through the contact form and the form was rejected due to Acid 2.0 being a legacy product and not supported anymore. |

""I found that some of the tweaks I made in certain earlier versions of Acid (particularly pitch lowering and some time stretching) do not work or sound right in later versions." I think I would agree with this.. I use to use Acid 2.0 alot, and moved up the versions, but with Sony coming on board, and crashes with VSTis and fx and other general slowness - I went back to SoFo Acid 3.0 I have heard online that some say the stretching and pitching was in some ways superior before Sony jumped in? Acid 3.0 (and probably Acid 2.0) does sound very tight... |
