I am using 10.7.5 pretty much a brand new macpro with hardly any software installed on it, anyway it crashed after i opened the first bloody file now it wont run, says dont restore or restore windows, both options crash the prog again, is there a way to clean the log or something? otherwise i am demanding my money back. I feel an idiot for buying this now, should have known ALL mac sound editors are crap, unbelievable really . |

I'm having the same problem. It crashed on me in the middle of editing a sound and now I can't get the software to open no matter how many times the "reopen" and "restore windows" keeps coming up. This is really disappointing. I was so incredibly excited to hear about SF for mac, but most of the features from 9.0 are not included. Where is the utility to pitch shift a sound over time? Where are all the old sony plugins? I still can't get SF to reopen! Dave |

Hold down shift + control while clicking the icon. This should reset the app and remove the issue on launch. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try this - 1) In Finder, hit Cmd+Shift+G and enter: ~/Library/Preferences 2) Delete all files that start with: com.sony.SonyCreativeSoftware.Sound-Forge-Pro 3) In Finder, hit Cmd+Shift+G and enter: ~/Library/Saved Application State 4) Delete all files that start with: com.sony.SonyCreativeSoftware.Sound-Forge-Pro 5) Empty the Trash 6) Restart Sound Forge |
