Subject:midi problems with music studio 9

I recently upgraded from music studio 6 to 9. When I was using 6 I was able to select both my midi controllers in make these controllers available for midi input(Korg nanokontrol and akai lpk25) so that I could use the korg to control parameters in my soft synth while playing on the akai. Now that I have upgraded to 9 I am only able to select one or the other. All other settings are the same as in 6. I have experimented with many different settings but nothing allows me to use them both.
Is there a setting that I am missing buried somewhere?
I tried asking Sony support but they won't answer, makes me feel real good about giving them my money!
If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.

forgot system details:
Operating System: Vista - 32-bit
Version and Build: version 9 (build 32)

This would be a question for Peter or Tech Support.

Tech support is not answering so I'm kind of hoping someone in here may be able to help.

I know that in ACID Pro 7, under Options > Preferences > MIDI, there is an option called, "Auto MIDI input routing," which allows a user to do what you want.

There are two caveats: The track *must* be highlighted and the selected inputs *must* be enabled under the same MIDI dialog window I pointed to above.

Thing is, it all worked in ms6, not sure why its broken in ms9. I can't seem to get the tech support people to answer on the email site and I refuse to pay almost half what I paid for my software just to call them on the phone one time.

That is very odd. Can you check those options off and confirm they stuck?

Did you try uninstalling/reinstalling?

Settings are good except it won't let me check both devices in input box. I won't let me uninstall it either I keep getting an error can't remember for sure the number but I think it was 2738?

Invalid drive error, maybe?

Sounds like your installation went kablooey somehow (hence why you can't use those MIDI options *or* uninstall properly). Try to get us that error so we can try to help pinpoint it.

When uninstalling I get this error box:
ACID Music Studio 9.0
The installer has encountered an unexpected error
installing this package. This may indicate a problem with
this package. The error code is 2738.

Have you tried uninstalling from safe mode ? I have Cakewalk MC5 and MC Pro 24 which show errors when installing to Win7. Booting into safe mode they install fine. The last safe boot fixed two crysonic vst's that would not authorize.
I assume it has to do with the various layers of permissions but it is generally recommended to turn off any antivirus when installing so maybe that would help.

Installers do not always work in safe mode but hopefully you can get a clean uninstall.

That didn't help either. I am really surprised that the tech support people are not answering me. I used to think highly of Sony and their products but now they are just crap.
Anyone have recommendations of better music creation software that has actual tech support? The forum members here seem helpful, maybe their tech people should take notes about how to get back to someone.
