Subject:Multiple Files

I use SF on Windows to edit files for radio shows that we broadcast on our community station. I've been used to having sometimes 3 or 4 files open (probably about 1 hour in time each) and dragging/dropping parts of them between each other. On SF Windows it's easy to navigate between - I just move the file around on the desktop work area or minimise - but mainly I just move them about. Have I missed something in the manual about unlocking the files, because I can't see how to do this. I know I'm comparing bramley apples with cox's apples, but I want to keep the speed and efficiency of workflow if I migrate to the Mac version. Apart from the obvious lack of comparable and now well known Sony effects (like Dynamic Processor), I do like SF for Mac - especially the look and feel.

SFMac uses tabs to expose multiple files. The editors cannot be undocked.

To work with multiple files, you can display files on top and bottom tab areas and left and right areas.

Chapter 2 in the manual covers "Working with multiple files" on page 13.
