Subject:Sound Forge Pro Mac - Feature request

I have mentioned this in another thread, but I'll repeat it here so I'm sure it will be seen:)
I use Sound Forge 8.0 on my pc, and one of the tools I use the most is the acid looping toolbar. (I believe it's called Navigation toolbars in later versions)
Is there a chance that this will be available on the mac too?

It's great for editing loop obviously, but I also use it a lot when editing songs.
I select 32 beats, hit delete to remove the unwanted part.
Hit S to make the same selection again, move the selection to the next part I want to cut, hit delete etc.

I also didn't understand how to Trim. Is that function there somewhere?

And last, crossfades. I have tried to find a way to make SF for Mac behave the same way as SF8 for crossfades (ctrl+f). I just can't get it to make a "normal" crossfade when I use the mix function. I think this is behaving exactly the same way as in later versions of SF for Windows, I just can't understand how it works.

This appears to be the official feature request list? Way to go bungum!

I'd like to see the following features restored:

Auto-Trim/Crop. SF is the ONLY editor that seems to do this and I use it on EVERY file I edit.

Snap-to-Zero. Editing without a grid depends on being able to accurately hit zero crossings.

WaveHammer. It's dead simple to use and a powerful Compander.

Scripting. I was dubious as to whether or not this was even possible to keep in SF. I use scripts daily and love being able to roll my own processes when necessary. Plus I'd say it helps y'all with future development, seeing the things we come up with to get tasks done.

Batch Converter. Maybe I overlooked this, but I don't think it's in there. Again, this is something I use on every project I do in SF.

I'll keep playing and see what else comes up.

Rob.

I frequently use the Tools > Detect Clipping feature in SF8. That plus batch conversion are my two initial requests.

The thing I see missing is the Batch Processing feature. And I am not able to Save Presets in for example, Insert Silence.

Batch converter/processing isn't in there? Big part of my workflow.

Jack

Edit for additional: after much looking I noticed Acoustic Mirror isn't in there. I know there's the Izotope reverb in the mastering tools but could use a convolution reverb as well.

I sure hope that soon we will get all these tools restored.

I also hope Sony does a 32 bit version as not everyone's plugs are 64 bit.
