Subject:play existing audio while recording next track

My operating system is Windows 7 Professional. My new Acid Music Studio 9 will not allow playback to occur while recording. To connect to my microphone, I'm using M-Audio Firewire Solo, and it will record when I choose it in the Audio Device Preferences, but that disables playback.

Ideas? Thanks.

Is everything routed properly via the Solo's software mixer? Per the Solo's manual, you should be able to directly monitor playback while recording via the Solo itself.
