Subject:Batch Converter Question...

I guess this is a pre-sales question because I haven't bought Batch Converter yet, but i will if anyone thinks there is a way to do this....

Does anyone know if you can set up Batch Converter to either parse a spreadsheet or database to create the ID3 tags (metadata) when converting from .wav to MP3?

Here's what I'm doing...I'm taking about 100GB of .WAV files and converting them into .MP3 and .RM. I need to put things like Song Title, Composer, Publisher, and Copyright info into each track. But with thousands of track, doing this manually would take me years!!!

I am doing the same thing with RealSystem Producer Plus to turn the files into .RM files. In the RM script, I can call a spreadsheet and get song and publishing info for each individual track and insert it into the file as it encodes.

I know some MP3 encoders use the CDDB to write the information into the files. I'm looking for something like that but that I can customize. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this with BatchConverter for MP3 conversions? Can BatchConverter use databases for Metadata?

Thanks,

O.G. Killa

No, Batch converter won't do that. It will hardly put the same Metadata into everyone of 50 converted asf files (I tried it and I kept having problems)
