Hello. The new Sony Vegas Pro 64-bit build 367 simply flaw in any attempt to replace object. The program simply goes into white screen and hangs.

To repeat this BUG, do this:
1) Create a project, (any preset, no matter)
2) add any object into Project Media (video, or jpeg, etc.)
3) Drag the object from Project Media to Timeline
4) Save que project and quit
5) Open Sony Vegas Pro 64-bit build 367
6) Load the project saved in step 4
7) In Project Media, do right click in the object and choose "Replace..."

Okay! Is done the shit! The program crashes.

I discovered more bugs in Vegas Pro 12 build 367.

If I rename the folder of the source files, Sony Vegas appear a dialog box with suggestions "the followinf file could not be found..." then I choose "Specify a new location or replacement file" and the program crashes!
If I choose leave all offline for replace it later, the program crashes!
I need to finish an important work today. I'll have to rebuild the entire project in version 11 stable. I wish that Sony indemnify my losses.

@Mixar: I make your suggested operation, and work fine here. No crash.

Unfortunately I do not have any suggestions as to overcoming your problems but have to confirm Erni's findings. I tried every one of the above problems and Vegas 12 behaved as expected and have not crashed on any of the "BUGS" (I do have some other problems but we will get to that later).

The way this has always worked is that when a new major version of Vegas is released, there will be some issues that did not get caught is beta testing. There is NO WAY they could have tested Vegas on every conceivable combination of hardware in every possible editing scenario. About a month after release, there will be a new build which usually fixes most problems, only then should you consider using the new version for critical projects.

So you got a lawyer involved and you're demanding compensation for lost productivity? Perhaps you need to read the End User License Agreement (EULA) because I'm guessing you didn't read it when you installed Vegas. Pay particular attention to paragraphs 7, 8 and 9. Unless you happen to live in a jurisdiction that allows for damages, all that SCS is obligated to do is refund the price of the software.

Have you re-booted your computer since installing 12? I was having a crashing problem with playback and re-booting helped along with setting the Dynamic Ram Preview to 200 or less.

Hope it helps.
