SF5.0 records in 24-bit. It all depends on your soundcard's capability. I guess your card can't do it.

More information would be helpful. What sound card do you have? Is 'Windows Classic Wave Driver' and your sound card selected on the audio tab in Options/Preferences? Are you recording analog or through a digital input?

If you're talking about the version that came with your Acid Pro 3.0... well then no, that version doesn't record 24 bit. Only the full version of SF 5.0 is 24 bit, I believe.
