Subject:Listing names of multiple songs in same file

Hello all,

Using Forge Pro 10, what is the best way to list multiple songs that are in a single audio file? For example, say I have a file with 8 different songs which will be saved to MP3. How can I list each song in the file besides splitting the file up into separate files (which is not an option)?
Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.

Are you saying you want the song titles displayed somewhere other than in Sound Forge? Like, on an MP3 player or something?

Rob.

Exactly. I would like to have them listed perhaps using metadata or something where they can be viewed in, for example, Windows media player, etc.

You've only got one set of ID3 tags per file, and they are of somewhat limited length. Type as much as you can in. Keep in mind that the entire tag applies to the entire file. There won't be any way to get subsequent text to show up *as* each song starts.

SF will retain the markers (metadata) when encoding an MP3... but.. most players can't read them. I suggest rendering them as separate MP3 files, then create a playlist (*.m3u) in your MP3 player, Winamp for instance. This probably won't work for live gap free play though.
