I'm assuming you went to Options > Preferences > Audio Device (assuming ACID Pro but I believe it's the same under ACID Music Studio) and tried selecting the Mbox as your device?

(Also be sure to get the latest drivers for the Mbox if you haven't done so already.)

also assuming acid is your only daw?
if you have multiple daw's other daw's can hijack the soundcard/box when multiple windows are open. Studio One 2 would occupy the soundcard when open and not allow Acid to use my pci internal soundcard.
also - for your mbox - the latest software driver for it.
Best of Luck

The Avid standalone drivers are notoriously finicky.

It should've come with a copy of Protools LE when you purchased it. Generally, your best bet is to just install Protools and you'll magically have drivers for the hardware installed, too.

The other downside to the Mbox2 is that Avid broke third-party ASIO functionality in the PT 8.04cs2 update. The device will work, but you won't see hardware meters or the caret in the waveform.

We've contacted Avid to ask them to fix the issue and they'd even released a beta version of the driver that corrected the issue - but they've yet to correct the issue in an actual release. (And there have been a couple.)
