ANY CLUE ON HOW MUCH THE UPGRADE WILL BE ?

I can't imagine it beng too much for an upgrade. I'd guess $99 like a couple of the other products. Although I'd be irritated if they sold it for a limited time at that price like the other products.

Why would you be irritated?

Are you a stockholder or soemthing?

I think buying the product as soon as it's released is a strong statement to SF that we love their products and want to support them. Have you seen their earnings? The more people who buy the product the more people will talk about it and SF will have $$$ to continue development (of course I can't imagine they have any programmers left after the last RIF!)

They have great products and anything to grow the customer base is a good thing for SF and the users.

You are a user aren't you? Perhaps a competitor who doesn't like these good deals on great software.

Hmmm. I wonder.

I think a person has a right to be irratated without being called names or having their motives questionsed. Let's get a grip here and try and keep this forum professional and about the product and not personalitites.

ANYWAY . . I just got my email that the UPGRADE is OUT !!!

Vegas Video 2.0 users - upgrade to the most powerful,
comprehensive digital video editing system available - Vegas Video 3.0.
Upgrade before December 24, and save $50.
All upgrades to Vegas Video 3.0 are only $99.95

Why would one update for 99USD if the full version is currently available at the same price (using the promotional code)?
djmd wrote on 11/21/2001, 8:46 AM
Just curious - where are you seeing the $99 pricetags? Have a URL? The best I can find is $149 for the upgrade, $199 for the full.

Does the full packaged VV3 come with a manual?

hmmm...strange: using the 6858 promotinal code, I could see it for 99,- (a few minutes ago). Someone else saw it, too. In another post he said:
"If you click on BUY instead of upgrade, You see a $599 price slashed out with a $99 price next to it! Is this the full product price or the upgrade price?"

If I use the promo-code now I do not get any rebate on the full-version. Strange.

It would appear that someone fixed a mistake?

I suppose that's the case. What a shame! Oh well, 199 and 149 are still awesome prices for this, IMHO. I am going to wait a few days though, you never know, Best Buy might put in on their shelves for $69.95! :-) lol
