Subject:What is a video decompresser and where to get it?

When I open one .avi file in soundforge it tells me that my computer does
not have video decompresser for it.

Please tell me what is it and where can I get it.

There is same question before posted by aditya on1/8/2001 but reply to that question is NOT CORRECT.

p.s. I have installed on my computer DiVX 3 and DivX 4 but still dont work :(
