MPEG in a Quicktime

Hi all,
I have been given some video that is in .mov containter and the video is MPEG2. Vegas, windows movie player, quicktime do not see the video but will all play the audio. VLC player will play the video and audio.
Any ideas for how to get this into Vegas?

The codec details as read in Quicktime Player/Pro OR MEDIAINFO ARE?????

To access MPEG-2 as Quicktime file you need to have an extra MPEG-2 Quicktime component installed which is available via the apple web site.

That's what I thought. I think its a $20 program or something.

Quicktime nor Vegas can tell me what the codec is, but VLC reads it as MPEG2.
