Subject:'undo/inverse' effects processing...

Playing 'round making strange noises with SF5.0e... I'd like to do the following: 1) process #1 (pitch bend, timestretch, whatever) 2) effect (delay, reverb etc.) 3) 'inverse' of step 1 (i.e. if process 1 was a pitch bend, bending up an octave over the duration of a sound, this process would be a bend down of an octave over the selection) Now, this is easy for some things (like the example above actually, pitch bend using a simple 'envelope' can easily be inverted) but for others (i.e. more complex pitch bend envelopes) it becomes hard. What I am wondering is, is there a way of generating an 'inverse' function based on the file that is generated when a process is saved?? Or another way, is the save format for effects settings documented anywhere? (looking at it in a text editor, it appears to be a binary file....) Heh, just another attempt to make some weird sounds really!! john.. www.namke.com www.minimism.com |
