Normalizing regions in Sound Forge -Sound Forge - PC

Almost all music is now listened to over 4" speakers in a boom box or speakers in a car or ear-buds. Such systems are simply incapable of reproducing music with much dynamic range. In testing customers I have provided them with a disc with pieces at the relative levels recorded in a concert and another disc with pieces "normalized" to the same RMS levels. Invariably they choose the normalized disc. In a typical recorded symphony concert there are 4 to 5 pieces. Choral concerts may contain as many as 20 to 24 pieces. In Sound Forge I can normalize a complete file but is there a way to use "batch converter" to normalize individual regions within a file?

Are all of the regions being normalized using the same settings? To clarify, the reason you want to use batch converter is because you have several files each containing several regions that you want to be able to automatically normalize, correct? The only other way to accomplish this would be to use compression, possibly like the WaveHammer plug-in to even out the levels and then normalize. Rob.

When you say, "regions" do you mean actual regions marked with region markers? Or, are they just plain markers? Any way you can get me a link to an example file?
