I am trying to record on acid Music Studio by plugging my instrument in to a PA and then plugging the PA into my Laptop, witch i'm not having a problem with, however if i play a sustained note it will be cut short in the recording (only leaving about 4 seconds of the note in) and i have tried to find out if there's a setting doing it but i cant work it out, if any one can help i would appreciate it. |

You're not "punching in" or using the Loop Region to record? (Press Q to stop using the Loop Region.) Otherwise, everything that you record should be kept up until you press either stop or the record button. Iacobus |

its still doing even without the loop thingy on, and even inside the loop thing, it always cuts the notes down to 4 seconds long, would it be something to do with plugging in through a pa? |

The thing is you want the loop "thingy" *OFF*. If you have a loop selected and on it will only record pieces as long as that loop. |

Being honest, I don't think using the PA is helping you. Im assuming you don't have a box/interface like an m-box to input your signal? Why are you using the PA thing to begin with? Vox? Guitar? I find even with my old BASS POD pro on certain settings it can feel like it's choking the sustain of the note. It's definitely not an acid thing. As far as the recorded track, as long as your sound card is set and is the preferred device you should be good to go. Let us know how you make out. |
