Subject:Large files - waveform display problem

When working on large files (wav, 16bit st., 44,1 kHz <500 MByte) in Sforge 5e, I'll more often than not have problems with the waveform display.

Starting at some point (usally after ~4 minutes on the timeline) in the file, there's only silence displayed, the file *plays* fine though.
with zoom at 1:128, 1:256 everything is OK, but when zooming out 1:512, 1:1024 .. etc. silence is displayed instead of the wavefoprm.
Closing and re-opening the file, cures this annoying behaviour. Anyone else having this? Solutions? Bug??

win98SE, gra.Card: Ati Xpert98, DirectX 8.1

TIA
Robert

I don't know if this fix your problem, but instead of closing & re-opening the file, try rebuilding the peaks. In SF4.5, this is under the Special menu and is called "Rebuild Peak Data". Not sure where it is in 5.0. Surely, they didn't nuke that feature too.

No, they didn't ;-)
Thank you, that helps!
