Hmmm...have you tried the community forums at ACIDplanet? You can get a few listens that way. They have a song plugs area in there. HTH, Iacobus |

Hello, It seems that the only way you get listens and reviews on AP is if you give everybody else reviews, even if they don't deserve them. I think it's all clicked out, and people only rate people they know, and if you do get a rating and don't answer it back, they won't rate you anymore. And it seems a big NONO to use Acid Loops..... (So Y make them?), Like everyone on the planet makes their own music....I don't think so. Just My 2cents There is other places to put your music. See ya, Rockit |

I could never use acid loops I would feel guilty So how do you play every instament. I use loops for instraments I don't play, I'f you use a sampler, It's the same thing as using loops. There is nothing wrong with using loops. I think alot of people take loops and chop them up sooo much that now they can call them their own, but that's not true, Loops are loops are Samples, 6 and one half dozen, No difference. Rockit |

I agree with Rockit strongly on the issue of ACIDplanet. Very much a clique atmosphere. My main complaint has been always that the song only climbs when you get reviews. It doesn't even matter how many listen to it. (You can only register a listen once a day per user.) I hate it when I see an artist on there that truly deserves to be at least near the top, but yet languishes at the bottom. And I'm really getting sick of being spammed to get reviews and such. Because of this, SF really needs to rethink ACIDplanet. I only really use AP to post contest remixes now. Those will always remain a lot of fun for me. I also feel strongly that using "canned" loops (I use the term loosely) does not constitute "cheating". I'll say it again: Arranging is just as much an art as composing. I can't play drums worth a damn. (I just don't have the strength.) I do have the rhythm, however, so ACID lets me do what I never could in the flesh. Percussion One-Shots rule. Iacobus |

Finally, Someone who is not afraid to admit to using loops. I think loops are great, they take alot of work out of making music, and put some fun into it, and I like hearing how other people create also, There is still alot of challenge in using loops and choosing the right ones for the right tune. Thanks for the honesty, Iacobus See ya, Rockit |
