I have a client that is STILL using Sonic Foundry 2.0 (which was essentially Vegas without the video editing -- a lot like Acid, right?) and sheis finally ready to upgrade. I'd like to steer her towards Sony Acid. So the question is, will Acid open old Sonic Foundry 2.0 files. They have a .veg extension? |

You are referring to Vegas 2.0. .veg files are Vegas' project files. ACID cannot load these. I don't believe that the current version of Vegas will even load Vegas 2 projects. I will have to check. Peter |

Peter thanks, let me know what you find. I know little about the older software, I wonder if there is a way to export another file type that Acid could open. ...last resort would be to mute all but one track at a time and export WAV files for each track. Anyone else have suggestions? David |

Easy if all tracks are same length 'start-to-finish' - just use the original media and recreate in current Acid or Vegas.. If tracks are more random, then a 'little' more laborious ! geoff |
