Subject:Audiophile 2496 Problem - Getting Desperate

I seem to be having a problem with Sound Forge and my AP2496 working together. When I record in 24/88.2 (or 96) I get a constant clicking actually recorded in the WAV file.

It might be an ACPI problem, but 24/88.2 works in the test version of n-Tacks. If it were an ACPI/Driver problem, wouldn't it give the same problem in both applications?
