Subject:Tascam US144 problem

Hello

I'm using SF9, which has been perfect for a long time. I'm now using a Tascam US144 as my audio interface, and it's good too. However, when I try to record into SF, using the SPDIF input on the Tascam, SF freezes...in fact Windows XP freezes...every time I try this.
Any thoughts, anyone?

Thank you...
Ian

Hello there

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond...I've been on the road. Yes, I'm using the very latest driver and firmware from Tascam, and the Tascam is selected in SF, as the (only) audio device. With sp/dif, the Tascam defaults to 24 bit, 44.1 kHz, which SF should be quite comfortable with.

It's a bit of a mystery...I think I'll contact Taacam...

thanks for your interest
Ian

Well, I've solved it...much to my embarrassment (as a self-appointed audio genius)...an intermittent USB cable...I'm not joking...

Thanks for trying to help...

Ian
