Hello..

I have a problem after upgrading my computer.
After a couple of minutes in Acid, I suddenly loose the sound. It is when I press the play button, the screen is freezing until I hit the stop button.
I am using a ESI Juli@ PCI soundcard. It has work perfect before. I have reinstalled the driver and checked that the card was sitting correctly.
When I reboot my computer, it works fine for those couple of minutes, when suddenly it do it again. The Microsoft sound mapper and Direct sound is working fine by then.

The onboard soundcard is deactivated.

I really hope that someone can help me.

Was the upgrade your soundcard or another piece of hardware?

If it was something else you added, have you tried disabling the device to see if that helps?

If it is the soundcard that is new, then ESI have an ASIO driver you can use instead of Microsoft Mapper or DirectSound; try the ASIO driver if you haven't already.

You could also try increasing your buffer size to see if that helps.
