Hi I have some audio recording that is quite badly clipped. Is there anything in sound forge pro 10 to fix this I have ran detect clipping and then tried Clipped audio restoration but it does not seem to have much effect! Any advice would be great Message last edited on5/9/2012 9:01:22 AM bymhodder. |

SF Pro's Clipped Peak Restoration will work on digital 'overs', but YMMV depending on the severity. On excessive digital overs, input stage and 'overdrive' type distortion there's not a lot that can be done. |

"Hi I have some audio recording that is quite badly clipped" Any clipped restoration scheme relies on enough useful audio information remaining to emulate the missing peaks. That means they only work on mild, recoverable cases. Sorry, but "quite badly clipped" does not fall into the realm of recoverable information. You are, quite frankly, SOL. |

Just as a matter of interest, how many 'clips' do you have? 2, 10, 100's, and is it audio music or audio voice? |
