DQ Does EZDrummer From ToonTrack work in Vegas?

JimMSG wrote on 5/2/2012, 3:11 PM
I got EZDrummer while it was onsale. Downloaded and installed it, and experimented with it in "solo" mode. Unfortunately, when I tried to use it in VP11, I couldn't find it anywhere in the list. I looked at the TT help files and made sure the proper folder was looked at by Vegas, but EZD still doesn't show up. I suspect I'm doing something silly, but can't figure it out.

Any experts out there who can point me in the right direction to get this working? I'm assuming it will work with Vegas and Acid, as Sony had the sale on it.,

EZDrummr is a VSTi. Vegas does not have MIDI tracks, so you cannot use it with Vegas.

Okay, that make sense. I was wondering how that would work. But, shouldn't I be able to see it in Acid Pro 7? I'm not finding it there either. I know there are MIDI tracks in AP so that shouldn't be a problem. Besides, would Sony be offering it up for a promo like that if it couldn't be used with Sony software? I prefer to use VP to do my mixes, but AP works well too. Can you point me in the right direction, or do I have to go to that forum? (an attempt at a little humor, yes I know very little, it has been a strenuous day).

Thank you Peter.

It should show up in ACID. Do you know where it installed to? Does ACID's VSTI search path point to where it is installed? Do not set ACID to search c:\ or something broad!!!

You can try rescanning plugins in ACID's Plugin Manager.

I had to go to the Acid Help menu when I couldn't find it listed in any of the menus. That directed me to the Insert menu and add soft synth. Sure enough it was listed right there and inserted just fine. Now, I just have to figure out how to use it. :)

Thanks for the help Peter.
