Hi All, Using Acid Pro 7e on Win7-64 Home w/Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1. Using an off-the shelf small form factor Dell (Intel chipset - dual core) with upgraded video and 4GB ram. (see profile for specs) I am guessing this is device specific, but I am having a problem where I am mixing tracks for an audio drama with minimal, but somewhat resource intensive VST. I am using the Native ASIO driver that came with the device. When I try to switch between projects, we are talking like 7 tracks tops. I get an AudioError has occurred and is says my sound card is disabled. Restarting ACID resolves it and I don't, thankfully, have any crashes during editing. So not tragic, but certainly annoying. I don't have this problem in FLStudio or Ableton and those projects are generally a lot more resource intensive when I am working in those apps. Anyone seen anything like this or maybe have some ideas on what to look at? All my drivers are up to date. Message last edited on4/23/2012 11:39:40 AM byBrianBo. |

Make sure that the DEFAULT project audio settings are set to the same thing for both projects, for example, if you are working in a project that is 48K and then you try to open a project with the default as 44.1K, it may "confuse" the device. My Presonus Firebox is kind of like this. Also, make sure that the default audio device is set up the same in each project. Cheers, b.complex |
