I installed my Echo Mia Soundcard into my computer and the volume won't exceed the lower green level. I've tried all the settings on my computer, but nothing seems to work. I only have a $30 radio shack mic plugged in because I'm waiting for a better one. I don't if the mic is the problem because its unbalanced, but the card is suppose to support them anyway. Also no matter how much I play around with the volume it still won't exceed a certain level. If anyone can help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. The only reason I asked this question here is because most of you are very helpful. Thanks Son of Gary |

Actually, it does come with a software mixer. This is from the product description on the Echo website: Mia appears to software as if it has eight separate outputs, which are digitally mixed down to the physical outputs using Mia’s "console" software and its on-board DSP. The Mia's console software is what you would use to adjust the levels. Ted |

You should have the letter "M" on your taskbar on the right. Double-clic on it, and the console should appear. Out 1/2=>analog and Analog Out are the ones you should adjust. Hope that helps. Later. |

The mixer is were the problem is no matter how much I adjust the settings it still won't go up. It stays on the lower green level and won't exceed any higher. I would think after I installed it that the volume on the mixer would be high and I would just have to adjust it but that isn't the case. I can't figure out why this is happening. |

I'm sorry I can't help more, because I had mine installed and I haven't had a problem. I'll give the installer a call tomorrow, see what he thinks. Meanwhile, give Echo tech support a try (if you haven't already). There are other Mia owners here, any ideas? Does the Windows volume control affect this at all? I'll get back to you after I talk to my retailer. Later. |

I've tried having the sound on my other card and then on my Mia, but it still doesn't make a difference. I think I'm gonna install it on one of my other computers and see if it's the computer. If that doesn't work I'll have to call Echo or something. |
