I built a new computer (XP SP3) and have loaded SF10 and CDA 5.2 that came on the SF10 installation disc. I also have Vegas 8.0c from a prior computer that died. All programs are activated. I am getting strange error messages trying to load and run Vegas Pro: "Microsoft.net runtime could not be initialized." and "An error occurred starting Vegas Pro. An invalid argument was specified." The program will not load. I downloaded Microsoft NET framework 4, but that did not help. With SF10 and CDA I was also getting messages such as "Sony NGenTool encountered a problem and needs to close." and "CD Architect failed to register with windows termnial services" But these message went away after removing the programs, rebooting the computer and re-installing the software. So, at this point, I can get SF10 and CDA 5.2 to open and run, but I cannot get Vegas 8.0c to open. Any ideas? |

You need Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 - although you installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, strangely these are not updates and each version is mutually exclusive. find at http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/netframework.asp |
