I have Sound Forge 10, Vegas Pro 10, and DVD Architect Pro 5.2 installed so I have a AC3 Pro option in my Sound Forge Save As window but if I try to use it, it says that I need to purchase it. I can use Vegas to save AC3 Pro, but I would really like to do it in Sound Forge. Is there a way to enable this for use in Sound Forge? Thank you. |

There is a way. I haven't got my system with this software installed on it handy at this moment, so I can't give you exact file and folder names, however it's just a matter of locating the AC3 Pro plug-in file (I believe it's a *.dll, and the file name makes it pretty obvious, IIRC) in the Vegas plug-in folder and copying that to Sound Forge's plug-in folder. Hmmm, that is strange; .... here I have Vegas10, SoundForgePro10, DVDArchitect5.0 & 5.2 installed, and SoundForgePro makes perfectly good AC3-pro files without any problems or special settings. AFIK all the necessary files are already installed in the SoundForgePro folders, and SoundForgePro should be able to export AC3 by itself.... according to the Specs at http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/soundforge/techspec |
