Is there a quick and easy way to delete the entire project section? I added four extra sections (32 beats) and now want to delete that entire section that has five tracks of music. I want to remove the part starting at 61.1 through 69.1, where I want the song to continue. Track 4 is a vocal track (no vocals in the section to be deleted) and I really dont want to redo the vocals. Solution? Thanks. |

Click the Time Selection Tool on the toolbar (it's the button after the Envelope Tool and before the Groove Tool; has a text cursor with a waveform on it). Click and drag the space above the measure marks to select the range of data you want to delete. Press "Delete" on your keyboard. All the data between should get deleted. (Tip: Use Ctrl + Shift + A to deselect everything so that the Time Selection Tool will select everything within the range that was made. You can also hold down Ctrl + click on an event or events within the time selection to delete only those events.) Iacobus |

FIRST OF ALL...I have ACID MUSIC STUDIO 8.0 ... I'm having issues with this too! I've tried everything ...well...obviously not everything because...I can't seem to get this sorted with what I've tried. But there's gotta be a way! Lol! All I want is to have my project end at 4 mins 46 seconds. I have a bunch of excess empty space at the end of my project that hikes it up to 15 minutes and I can't seem to get rid of it of that excess space. Surely this is more simple than I'm finding it to be?? Help anybody!:) Message last edited on4/10/2012 10:45:36 AM byRavenShadow. |

When you render this project out, does the excess empty space get rendered as well? There could be a little snippet of some event somewhere on some track. Did you ensure everything was free and clear after the 4:46 mark? Iacobus |

Yes every bit of it gets rendered. And yes too...I checked and double checked if there was anything left in the space because..initially that's how the project turned out to be so long in the first place. I wasn't aware there were remnants of something that I had previously added in there. I finally discovered it by accident and have cleared all of that BUT...what remains is all that space and I can't seem to get rid of it. Now...I have used envelopes and there's one that continues on through all that space. Could that be a factor? I can't seem to get the excess of that to go away either. My understanding is that it's the events/clips themselves that determine the end of the render and nothing else. Until you can get your problem sorted, render using the Loop Region option. (Place the Loop Region over the area you want to render; use the "render loop region only" option under File > Render As on the menu bar.) |

MD yer a genius! It worked! When I went to render I had to have the box "Save project markers with media file" checked, as well as the "render loop region only" but...it worked! Thanks so much for your help! -hugs!-:) Message last edited on4/10/2012 5:22:58 PM byRavenShadow. |
